Monthly Traveling Psychic Supper Club                      Discussion & Development Dinner

Meet @travelingpsychic Deb – And share a meal.  Sometimes it’s easier to talk at a small intimate dinner instead of in a larger group setting.  Each month Deb hosts a dinner open to the public at a locally owned restaurant.  Reservations are limited.  During these cozy dinners the conversation includes anything and everything intuition/channeling/psychic related.  Have an experience you want explained?  Repeated patterns an issue?  Bring your questions, hear some stories and expect anything.  To be included on the guest list for this month’s dinner purchase your reservation above.

Dinners fill up fast, if you miss out keep an eye on Instagram (@travelingpsychic)  for the following month and other upcoming events in Austin, Dallas and Houston.  Reservations for public dinners are $35 per guest, multiple reservations are available.  Cost of meal is not included.

A Video Tarot Reading

For the last 3 years I’ve been saying I wanted to start doing videos.  This is the first attempt and it’s a simple tarot reading I did a while back.  My plans – after working on the TPSC sizzle reel – which never became a reality tv show -which I am grateful for – that it never became a show and for the experience – I kept feeling drawn to YouTube, I felt like “I have to do this my way”.  So here is the first video.

If you have any thoughts I really would love to hear them.  I  want to get better at making videos.  I have lots of ideas of just fun stuff I want to do.  Interviews are next, and I’ll keep throwing readings on here too.   Continue reading “A Video Tarot Reading”

BEETLEJUICE, GHOST, Story Share – We’re just getting started for OCTOBER

Hello Again and Happy Almost October!

beetlejuiceslider

So much great stuff is going on with TPSC – Let’s get right to it!

First, if you are local – and want to be involved here in AUSTIN – check out the Meetup group –

http://www.meetup.com/Traveling-Psychic-Supper-Club/ a lot of times I post things there that don’t make it to the website… We’ve got some movies coming up and –

We are having a Story Share tomorrow night – Tuesday October 1 from 7-9 pm at Mindful Body Center.  This is the start of an ongoing meeting for people to come share, connect and learn about themselves through stories.  We can learn so much about ourselves by listening to other people’s stories…if you have been carrying around your own story for years, this is a great place to come, share, and let it go.  Anything can happen.  You can RSVP at the meetup page – http://www.meetup.com/Traveling-Psychic-Supper-Club/events/206378942/.  I hope you’ll join us!

Really getting into October – I’m partnering with Flix Brewhouse again for a couple of movies this time…

GHOST on October 8 – Seating/Preshow at 7:00pm – Purchase tickets on line / get there early!

Ok Ghost is a little Girly for me, but I’ve had a recent psychic experience – where a spirit LITERALLY would not leave me alone – so now I can totally relate to Whoopie Goldberg’s charater – Oda Mae Brown…
odamae

We’ll have a little psychic discussion before and after the movie – AND it’s HALF PRICE BOTTLES of WINE NIGHT!  We’ll have another psychic Checklist made especially for this show that you can take home with you. (Courtesy of KELLY again! – he did a great job on the one for Poltergeist!)  Check out Flix Brewhouse to get tickets, this is a one time event, I hope you’ll join us!  Tickets are $5.  You can get them here – http://www.flixbrewhouse.com/flix-brewhouse/events/event-detail?event=ghost

Now on to….beetlejuice

BEETLEJUICE is October 22 at 7:00pm – This one will sell out!  Get tickets online early for sure and get there early!

We’ll be looking at the movie from the perspectives of Lydia Deetz – why can she see the Maitlands when no one else can, and we’ll talk about Beetlejuice himself – the original BIOEXORCIST.  Have you ever had a ghost in YOUR house?  We’ll have a checklist for this movie too!  Let’s look at life on the other side…and have some fun….It’s SHOWTIME – the ticket for this show comes with a Tim Burton Pint Glass – tickets are $7 – to purchase tickets: http://www.flixbrewhouse.com/flix-brewhouse/events/event-detail?event=Beetlejuice

That’s not all for October, but I wanted to post these events since tickets are already for sale online.  I hope you are having an amazing autumn, does anyone have big plans for Halloween?

Pendulum Eventulum – An Artist/Psychic Collaboration

Even if you aren’t in Austin and follow the blog, I wanted to share this cool event we are doing here on Friday, I’ll make sure and take lots of pics and post them, I can’t wait to see this crazy pendulum create a bunch of different art pieces…and if you are in Austin, Join US!

Here’s the scoop – THIS IS GOING TO BE A VERY COOL EVENT!  SORRY FOR THE SHORT NOTICE BUT: Austin Artist Tina Schweiger is moving her studio, currently located at Artpost, and will be closing her doors (for now) at the end of the month.  So what better way to say farewell than one last HURRAH!

This evening will include an amazing MASSIVE PENDULUM (10 ft. high) demonstration where you can create YOUR OWN personal art piece, choosing your own color palette – your energy creates the pattern.  THE PIECE YOU CREATE IS YOURS TO KEEP.  Additionally we’ll enjoy a smaller, but no less impressive demonstration of how your own energy works with a pendulum in hand by Traveling Psychic Supper Club founder Deborah Antich.  (HEE HEE That’s ME!)   Some hand-made pendulums will also be available for purchase.  We invite you to spend the evening with us at this intimate and unique event.  Reservations required, Space is limited to 10 painters, each may bring a guest.  RESERVATIONS must be made through Tina’s site HERE – http://tinaschweiger.com/register/

The cost for this event is $59 and includes artwork.

Tina will provide all supplies – you provide the landing point!  This can be canvas, plywood, anything that will hold paint.  The bigger the better!  Tina recommends 4 ft. x 4 ft.  but something a little smaller will work too.  Here are some examples of Tina’s work –

Now where else can you get a custom art piece that you actually created with a giant pendulum?  ONLY IN AUSTIN, BABY!

Upcoming Events – Driskill Brunch and Psychic Development Tour

There’s lots going on lately, and I guess this post is a little late to “market” or “publicize”my table at the Body Mind Spirit Expo – since it’s TOMORROW…but I don’t care, I wanted to let everyone know about some cool upcoming TPSC events.  Oh yea, and I’m going to be at the BMSE this weekend, Saturday and Sunday – I’ve got a table at booth 3, so if you are there drop by and say Hi, I’m doing tarot and intuitive readings, if I can remember to I’ll take lots of pics and post them here.  🙂

It’s time to visit the Driskill again, I get tired of doing “Psychic Events” only around Halloween.  Psychic stuff isn’t scary, and for me this happens all the time, so I wanted to create something cool, special and fun – so I’m doing a Brunch and Psychic Development Tour in August, back to back since the tours are small – there’s room for 10 on each day.

So join me for brunch at the Famously Haunted Driskill Hotel in the Famously FANCY Driskill Grill.

I’m working on pinning down the date for the September dinner, which is going to be at the Buenos Aires Cafe on 6th.  It’s on the reservations page already, and I’ll update it once I’ve got the date set.  Some other events are in the works, I’m partnering with Austin artist Tina Schweiger – whose studio at Austin Artpost is a work of art in itself.

This is Tina – we met on last year’s East Austin Studio Tour…you can check out her work here:  www.tinaschweiger.com

I’ll keep you posted on that….for now – it’s time for chow mein.

welcome to the meetup platform…

For the last couple of years I’ve toyed with the idea of starting a meetup for the supper club.  Back in May – which seems to be the month for new beginnings around me and TPSC – I finally dropped the hammer and it’s coming along well.  SO introducing….

We haven’t had a dinner yet, funny, I know – this is the TRAVELING PSYCHIC SUPPER CLUB, after all, but we will.  I’ve taken a little break from dinners, but will be back again in July.  The meetup is SUCH an easier way to connect – is a better platform for posting stuff quickly, meeting other people and getting information out there about local stuff going on, and there is – a ton of local stuff going on.

So if you are in Austin, jump on over to www.meetup.com/Traveling-Psychic-Supper-Club/ and join!  There are some familiar faces there, and some new ones too.  If you enjoy being part of the group, please feel free to tell a friend too, or bring a guest to any meeting, event or function.  The more the merrier. We’ll be having all different kinds of meetings, not just dinners.  We’ve had a coffee – on a weekday, attended a lecture, in the evening, and are going to see a movie at Unity Church of the Hills Friday night – E-motion, a documentary – here’s the trailer.  Looks good doesn’t it?

We’re branching out and doing all kinds of things.  We’d love it if you join us.  And if you aren’t in Austin, there’s always the radio show…and who knows, maybe we’ll be hitting the road soon….anyway show up somewhere, a meetup, a dinner, here on the blog – let’s stay connected and have some fun.

Hello Spring, Out with the old and in with the new…

It seems spring is really here, and everyone’s ready to play!  Spring cleaning out of old thoughts and gigs that no longer serve us, what are you cleaning out this month?  Ending old relationships, tossing out ideas that no longer serve, making focus back to center, back to family, back to freshness – it’s time to try something new.  So let’s talk about that this month: and kick it up a notch – how do you “clear out” stale spaces spiritually?  Lacey, Susan and I just had an amazing home clearing experience…so let’s talk about CLEARING!

New Experiences, New Dishes, New Places to explore….What are you trying new today?  Don’t spend too much time inside, “spring cleaning” – breathing in dust!  Get outside and explore – Here’s a pic from beautiful Perdenales State Park – getting outdoors cleans the soul…

and right now it’s beautiful and not too hot, which we all know it will be here in Central Texas before too long…having said that, who’s up for a hike some time?  I know we’ve all got our favorite spaces, secret and not so secret…

Moving forward – It’s time for dinner again – This month we are at Hyde Park Bar and Grill on April 19 at 5:00pm

– you can make your reservation here: https://travelingpsychicsupperclub.com/make-a-reservation/

Last month we had Ethiopian which was…an experience!  Everyone had a good time, we had a laid back and casual conversation, mostly about the food and how to eat it!  Here are some pics – Habesha was quiet for a while, but then it got crazy loud so we had to leave – especially for those of us that are very sensitive to sound…  About the food, the salad was cool and refreshing and DELICIOUS!  The food ranged from spicy to WHOA!  Everything comes out in these little blogs on the plate and you use the spongy bread (which has a bit of a sour taste) to pick it up.  It’s messy, it’s funny, it’s an experience.  We had fun – I’d go back, but not sure about everyone else…anyone else want to share your experience?  So that’s Habesha.  If you haven’t been to a dinner in a while, we’d love to see you again.  If you know of anyone else who would like to join us, please help us spread the word.  We are working at growing the Supper Club and getting the word out that EVERYONE is psychic, intuitive, or whatever you want to call it.  We are open.  And we are HUNGRY!

Thanks for the head’s up Jeff…THIS month’s dinner – March

Hey everyone,

I got this note from Jeff a couple of days ago, after writing a post about the February dinner at Mother’s

How about information about the dinners Before they happen
instead of After they happen. ( When, Where, etc. )
I would like to attend occasionally, but I only get the email after
the dinners have already happened.

And it gave me one of those ah ha moments…Wordpress sends out an email when I make a blog post…but not when I update the site.  So you guys are hearing about the dinners AFTER the fact when you get an email.  I put the dinners up on the site, but wordpress doesn’t let ya’ll know that.  So I wanted to say thank you Jeff for taking a second and letting me know – of course – that you are finding out about the dinners too late.  I’ll start putting a post up when I add a dinner, then another about that dinner later.  And Jeff, hopefully we’ll see you around the table some time.  🙂

Here is the link to the March dinner.  you can make your reservation by clicking the BUY NOW button.

Mother’s Cafe, NDEs – Looking forward to March but not SXSW

February’s dinner was at Mother’s Cafe – a REALLY popular vegetarian/vegan restaurant in the Hyde Park area that gets pretty packed on Saturday nights, although it’s got a great comfortable vibe about it that doesn’t make you feel rushed or packed together like sardines.  On Saturday evenings they have live music, which when the guy showed up we all thought, OH NO – because we were afraid it was going to be loud, but on that night it was chill he played a xylephone type instrument that was made of wood.  Lovely background noise that is still easy to hear each other over.

motherscafe

If you go to Mothers – and you should – I HIGHLY recommend the Cheese Enchiladas with Verde Sauce.  Very Delicious!  Susan and Miranda got the Spinach Lasagna, which was huge and they said very tasty.  Kelly got Nachos which was also huge and very good.  I got a spice cake to go and that was nice and moist with great flavor.  SO – Mother’s Cafe – Tasty vegan/vegetarian, large portions, lovely atmosphere.  Try it.

NOW – ON TO THE CONVERSATION

bonnieandclyde

Susan brought a book about Bonnie and Clyde named Bonnie and Clyde: The Lives Behind the Legend by Paul Schneider – which you can read a timeline and the first 20 pages here – look for the free sample button next to the book.  She read it last year, and was surprised to learn that Clyde himself had a Near Death Experience.  That led us to a whole discussion on “coming back” to do good or bad.  Which lead to a discussion on free will, and how, interestingly, Bonnie and Clyde provided a diversion for the country during the dismal days of the Depression.

Sara brought a book too, named The Emotion Code by Dr. Bradley Nelson.  You can learn about that book here.  This book discusses something we all within the group know to be true – that you can hold emotions in your body and that doing so can lead to illness.  We discussed how past emotional traumas can be held in the body as well, causing weaknesses that can lead to injuries.  We had a lengthy discussion about body work since some of the members of the group practice Reiki and other body work.  We talked about different experiences we’ve had while giving and receiving Reiki, and how basic energy work can lend itself to overall strengthening of psychic abilities.  Good stuff.

Our next dinner will be at Habisha and we’ll be enjoying Ethiopian food together.  Ethiopian is different, there are no utensils and you pick everything up with this interesting bread.  If you’ve never had it, Habisha is some of the best!  The topic for discussion will be Channeling – and the different ways people channel, some people may be surprised to learn there are many different ways…some channel with Angels, some with Spirit Guides, others tap into energy and the actual person or event they are reading.  The next dinner is available online if you would like to check it out here, like I mentioned we’ll be steering WAY CLEAR of SXSW and Downtown.  So if you are looking for an interesting way to spend your Saturday night, minus the headache of finding parking, crowds, overall drunken foolishness – and would like to join us instead, you are invited!

Speaking of Channeling, on Traveling Psychic Supper Club Radio this week (3/27/14) we’ll be interviewing local Austin Psychic Jo Todd, who channels Invisible Presence Isaiah.  TPSC Radio is LIVE every Thursday at 5:00pm Central on www.paramaniaradio.com.  We welcome call ins at (919) 295-0150, have a chat room available during the show, and love to hear from listeners.  If you miss the show it’s always available afterwards on demand here.  If you have a show idea we would love to hear from you too!  You can always email me at deborah@travelingpsychicsupperclub.com.

Thanks for stopping by the blog, feel free to leave a question or comment, and if you are in Austin for SXSW, be careful and have fun!
